OpenRate is pay-at-table software for Canadian dine-in restaurants. Guests scan a QR, NFC, or paycode to view or enter their bill, split, tip, pay, and help restaurants capture reviews and guest emails. We are in an early growth phase, building with real restaurant feedback.

About the role

As our Sales Development Representative, you will help OpenRate reach restaurant owners, book demos, qualify leads, and support early market development in Montreal and across Canada. This is a hands-on, performance-based role — ideal for someone who enjoys outreach, follow-up, and honest sales conversations.

Responsibilities

• Identify and reach out to independent dine-in restaurants in Montreal and across Canada
• Book qualified demos with restaurant owners and operators
• Follow up on inbound interest and nurture early-stage conversations
• Represent OpenRate clearly — no overselling, no fake claims
• Share market feedback with the founding team

Who this is for

You are comfortable with cold outreach, restaurant or hospitality conversations, and performance-based compensation. You may have experience in sales, restaurants, hospitality, or startups — or a mix. You prefer honest conversations over scripted pitches.

Compensation

This is a commission-only role. There is no base salary. Earnings depend on your results — demos booked, deals closed, and activity you generate. We are transparent about this from the start.
